Seigneurie du Lac Métis is located at about 375 miles (600km) east of Montreal, near Rimouski (local map). The territory covers close to 130²m of forest particularly rich in a diversity of fauna and flora. Lac Métis is truly the most attractive feature with its 16 mile long ( 26 km ).

Wildlife amateurs will discover a paradise for hunting, fishing or simply relaxing while admiring its unique and spectacular panorama. Il will surely fulfil their wildest expectations.

Black bear is amongst the major attractions that characterize our territory. They have been scarcely hunted in the past and they benefit from a favourable habitat. Also, since they are not fed by our customers, they remain wild and constitute an interesting challenge for bear hunters. This is why our territory is rightly qualified as the Black Bear Country.

Hunting packages include professional and experienced guides. They fit up safe and productive bate sites and they will take care of your catch. Hunters will lodge in our rustic Camp Castor. This camp was built at the beginning of the 20^th century but has been recently renovated so as to offer comfort and great relaxation. You may be surprised to learn that one of its most famous past guests was Maurice Rocket Richard of the Canadian of Montreal.

As an extra activity, our guests can also fish during their spare time providing an additional fee.

With a low hunting pressure, restricted human presence, an excellent woodland habitat and abundant undergrowth, our territory is one of the most attractive site in our area. Black Bear Hunting on our territory will remain one of the most challenging and exciting experience you will ever live.
